  • Can AI and Robotics Help Each Other?

A human brain and body are a combination that work together to bring out the full potential of both respectively. An AI, which doesn’t necessarily require a physical robot to operate, would be able to achieve the same level of potential as one housed within a human body?

In fact, it can and already does. Robots are external shells that can operate within the material world but would require constant human supervision to operate. Whereas AI is a concept that without any physical embodiment would be unable to interact with the real world directly.

AI combined with robotics provides a set of algorithms that can direct the machine to operate by itself, take decisions, problem solving, execute multiple operations and have AI interact with the real world. A few examples of such models are, auto driving cars, service robots, autonomous drones, Robotic Exoskeletons, humanoid robots etc.

There are various such models in healthcare as well, helping with diagnostics, surgeries, rehabilitation, transport medications, linens, and medical supplies in hospitals, freeing up staff for more critical tasks and more such assistance.

This advancing technology together can help replace humans, but in more necessary conditions, taking the example of freeing up staff for other critical tasks above. These models can become a big aid for the future of us humans altogether.
